Dakar, June 10 (APS) - The African Virtual University (AVU) has trained over 40,000 students throughout Africa and has established the largest network’ of open learning and distance education, said Thursday in Dakar, its rector, Dr. Bakary Diallo. The UVA is “very active in the education of women and students living in conflict and post-conflict areas. In Somalia, 4,000 students were trained in seven universities,” said Dr. Diallo at the inauguration of the Center for Open and Distance
