Africa Virtual University - AVU

2,200 participants from 108 countries attended Online Educa Berlin, an annual event covering information and communication technologies in education. The focus was on inclusive education, to coincide with the European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion.

Online Educa Berlin 2010 also explored uses of new media in higher education, highlighting best practice examples from a number of countries and regions.

ICWE GmbH, a Berlin-based company specialising in organising and running events for the education sector, launched Online Educa Berlin in 1995. Operating worldwide, ICWE has staged conferences, seminars, workshops and exhibitions in more than 40 locations worldwide.
