About the Conference
Expanding education and improving its quality is central to the development of Africa. If we want to realize the goal of quality education for all, faculties of education in Africa need to take the lead in finding African solutions to our educational challenges. DETA 2011 will be the fourth Conference of its kind. Like the previous conferences, it will create a unique platform to share knowledge and deliberate on educational issues.
Building on previous workshops, DETA 2011 will also feature a Pre-Conference Workshop on Open Educational Resources, Getting real about OER in Teacher Education. This will be an opportunity to deepen your understanding of OER issues and share experiences and projects with others.
The theme for this year's Conference is: Ensuring the highest possible quality of education in a changing Africa
