About the Conference

The Science Centre World Congress (SCWC) is a gathering that directs strategic planning for the worldwide Science Centre movement. The first SCWC was held in 1996 in Vantaa, Finland, hosted by Heureka, an initiative of the Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC) and the European Collaborative for Science, Industry and Technology Exhibitions (ECSITE). It was the first effort to bring together science centre leaders from all over the world to a meeting to discuss collaboration and to provide an opportunity for professional interchange and international networking.

The theme for this year's Congress is: Science Across Cultures
